Motion Poster

While looking at Brockmann posters, I often imagine what they would look like if they could move. This is an animation of one of his posters. Animating the poster to the music gives it an extra dimension for people to experience.

The poster

With his work for the Zurich Tonhalle from 1950 to 1972, Josef Müller-Brockmann (1914–1996) created totally novel visual accents for the concert poster. For the performance of Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, Brockmann designed a poster in 1955 that, with its balanced use of geometric shapes and precisely positioned typography, is one of the highlights of his work.
